In short
- Content opens week by week, not all on day one.
- Enchant ceiling: +12 in week 1, +16 in week 4 and +20 on weapons in week 8.
- Castles come in a few at a time, and all nine are contested from week 8.
The content does not all arrive on day 1. It opens in stages, and the enchant ceiling rises with them, which is the most direct answer there is to the pay to win question: money does not help, because the limit belongs to the server and not to your wallet.
The whole calendar is published before the season opens:
The island has a level of its own, and the season holds how far it can climb:
What the season holds is the island turning over to the next level, not your work. Farming Hellbound in week 3 loses you nothing: the trust is kept, and the level turns on its own the moment the week arrives. Arriving early is arriving ahead, not arriving for nothing.
They land where the map changes face. Between level 4 and level 5 the island swaps close to a hundred spawns at once, which is why that step is in week 4 rather than on a week that would look tidier written in a calendar.
A server that opens with everything unlocked is a server where the fighting is over in the second week, once the two best organised clans have taken every epic and every castle. Opening in stages, each week has a target nobody has reached yet, and somebody who arrived in week 3 still gets the week 6 Antharas along with everyone else.
