Hunt Seal

← How it works

In short

  • Drops from mobs: 1 in Routine, 3 in Elite and 5 in the War Zone.
  • In a party, every member gets the whole amount.
  • Spent at the Giran shop: Vorpal, Elegia, blessed scrolls. It cannot be traded or bought with money.

In detail

Hunt Seal: the currency that comes off the mob

It is what you collect by killing, and it is what buys the gear that matters. It cannot be bought with money and it does not change hands: it comes off a mob you killed, and nowhere else.

  1. 01

    What each mob pays

Every mob killed inside a farming zone drops Seal, and the zone sets the value: 1 in Routine, 3 in Elite and 5 in the War Zone.

  2. 02

In a party, everyone gets the full value

It is not split. Every party member nearby receives the whole value of the mob, so farming Elite in a group pays per head. It is the strongest reason this server gives you not to play alone, and it is deliberate.

  3. 03

What multiplies it, in this order

On top of the zone value, one after the other:

    • Champion, which multiplies by 10 or by 25 depending on the colour.
    • Hot Zone of the day, plus 50%.
    • The zone party bonus.
    • Premium, plus 25%.
  4. 04

Champions: two colours, and you can see them before you pull

Five in every hundred mobs are champions, and one in every five champions is red. In practice: 4% blue and 1% red. The blue is worth 10 times the zone Seal. The red is worth 25, and in exchange it takes far more punishment, hits harder and gives more EXP. Both carry an aura, blue or red, so you choose the fight instead of finding out halfway through it.

  5. 05

Where it is spent: the Seal shop, in Giran

One NPC, and what it sells is what you will want:

    • Vorpal: armour, shield, sigil and the three jewels.
    • Elegia: the armour pieces.
    • Blessed grade S scrolls.
    • Attribute stones, in all six elements.
    • Top life stones, level 80 and 82.
    • Soul crystals, stage 17 and 18.
    • Mana Potion, which is deliberately not sold for adena: at x500 it would turn into spam.
  6. 06

The weapon comes from adena, and the Seal is what improves it

Base Vesper is on sale for adena in the game shop, with no SA. That is deliberate: no weapon is worse than any weapon, so nobody sits waiting on a drop. What separates yours from everybody else's comes afterwards, and that part is farmed.

    • SA crystals up to stage 16: adena.
    • Stages 17 and 18: Hunting Seal.
    • Attribute: the stone comes from the Seal shop, and the crystal costs 500 Fame at the Reputation Managers.
  7. 07

The Gold Bar, so adena does not hit the ceiling

The game holds no more than 99.9 billion adena, and the Eternal World never resets, so whoever stays only accumulates. The .deposit command turns 100 million adena into one bar and .withdraw turns it back, losing nothing in either direction. It is the valve on that ceiling and not a currency: no bar is ever earned off a kill, and it buys nothing adena does not already buy.

  8. 08

Yes, it is the same list the paid store will never sell

And that is the point. Armour, jewels and scrolls exist in the game and are bought here, with a currency that only comes off a mob you killed. What does not exist is a shortcut: Seal does not trade between players, does not sell, does not drop on the ground when you die, and cannot be bought with money. A currency that circulates becomes a currency bought outside the game, and then the gear it pays for becomes a store item.
