How to read the kills column

It is an average over many attempts, not a promise. Half the time you will need fewer and half the time more, and twenty failures in a row on a ten percent chance happens often enough that it will happen to you. It also assumes Spoil lands on every monster and every corpse gets swept, so add back whatever those cost you.

Read out of the monster files: every monster carrying a spoil list, joined to the item names. Only the six best sources for each item are kept. The kills column divides how many you want by the chance and by the average amount a successful spoil gives. A chance above one hundred percent is shown as one hundred, because the multiplier can raise a chance but cannot raise it past certainty.
